The Chips
Here are the pinouts for all ICs in this redesign, with a few possible substitutions. The substitutes have differing pin assignments.
Click for full-size74HC parts can replace the CD4-- quad schmitt NAND and quad NOR. The 74HC174 can be used in place of 'HC574. Note that the CD4050, used in one version of the DAC has Vcc on pin 1 -- not 16.
Still seems like too many chips to me...
