MGB Computer Based Hardware
The figure is an idealize depiction of the three "substrates" that make up the Digital Platform of the MGB.  These three "substrates" are:
-  The MGB Analog Mother Board;
-  The MGB Host Processor;
-  The MGB Mezzanine Processor.
The Analog Mother Board:  This board mounts the AD8804 (12 channel 8 bit DAC), it's reconstruction filters, the 16 bit DAC (on the MGB Host Processor) reconstruction filters, the motorized POT drivers, the LCD connection, and the Digital and Analog Power Supply regulators.
The MGB Host Processor  This board is comprised of a BurrBrown (Ti) MSC1211 microcontroller equipped with 128k of SRAM. The MSC integrates, four 16 bit DACS, six 22 bit ADC channels, hosts both the MIDI input and the Mezzanine processor.
The MGB Mezzanine Processor  This board is comprised of a Dallas Semi (MAXIM) DS89C420 microcontroller and a 9 bit FIFO.  This board performs as an output processor driving the AD8804 modulation DACs, the Motor Drivers, and the 128 x 64 bit mapped LCD.
